
John Ramsey entered the fitness industry in Germany in 1993, where he helped build up the StairMaster subsidiary. In 1994, he moved to the Seattle area to grow the StairMaster business worldwide. In 2000, he moved to Yokohama, Japan to focus on the Asia Pacific business. When StairMaster became part of the Nautilus Group, he continued in his role for the expanded business in the Asia Pacific region.
In 2004 Ramsey joined the Johnson Health Tech Group and set up the Japanese subsidiary of Johnson Health Tech. Later, in addition to continuing his role as Managing Director of JHT-Japan, he served as a Vice President of the Johnson Group with responsibility for sales of commercial fitness equipment throughout the Asia Pacific region, a role in which he provided strategic analysis and recommendations to the CEO as well as other members of the executive team.
With his years of experience in the global fitness industry, Ramsey is uniquely qualified to bring together the best practices of Roundtables to the Japanese, Chinese and Asian markets.

In addition to his native English, Ramsey speaks and conducts business in Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and German. He lives in the Kohoku-New Town area of Yokohama with his wife, two sons and a daughter.
